Original Items: Only One Set Available. The origin of the corps go back to 1760 when a Commissariat used to exist in the administrative component of the armies three Presidencies of Bengal, Madras and Bombay. In 1878 the separate Commissariats were amalgamated into a single entity and then in 1901 it was renamed the Supply and Transport Corps. During the First World War the corps became a permanent component of the British Indian Army and was renamed the Indian Army Service Corps in 1923.

This uniform set is comprised of the following items:

- Original WWI Era British Army Service Corps Blue Cloth Helmet by Hawkes & Co. This particular helmet bears a King's crown on the helmet plate indicating it was issued after 1901. Comes complete with ink stamped maker mark on the interior. Overall condition is very good, size is approximately US 7 1/4 (58cm).

- Original British WWI Army Service Corps Officer's Named Dress Coat. Dating from World War One (before 1918) this fine jacket is in very good condition and features original Pre-1918 Indian Army Supply And Transport Corps gilt buttons and wonderfully detailed cuff braiding, collar dogs, and officer epaulets.

- Northampton Made in England tall black leather officer riding boots. These are post WWII manufactured. Size is 9 1/2 UK

Overall a very nice set, that is comprised of genuine WWI era pieces and a couple of post war pieces to complete the look!
